Can foreigners rent a car in Pakistan?
Yes. Classic Car Rent A Car rents self-drive cars to foreigners, tourists and overseas Pakistanis. You must be 21 or older and hold a valid driving licence. Overseas visitors give us a photocopy of their passport and a photocopy of their home or international driving licence.
What documents do I need to rent a car in Pakistan?
Overseas visitors need a photocopy of their passport and a photocopy of their home-country or international driving licence. An International Driving Permit (IDP) is recommended. You must be 21 or older with a valid driving licence.
Do I need an International Driving Permit (IDP)?
We accept a photocopy of either your home driving licence or an international driving licence. An IDP is recommended, so bring one if you can.
What is the minimum age to rent a car?
You must be 21 or older and hold a valid driving licence.
Can overseas Pakistanis rent a car?
Yes. We have served tourists and overseas Pakistanis since 1993. The same document requirements apply: a photocopy of your passport and a photocopy of your home or international driving licence.
Rental terms
What is the minimum rental period?
The minimum self-drive rental is 3 days.
Are your cars self-drive?
Yes. Our cars are self-drive, so you drive the car yourself, on your own schedule and your own route, with no waiting for anyone. Drive with comfort and peace of mind.
Is there a kilometre limit?
No. There is no limit on the distance you can drive.
Can I extend my rental or return the car late?
Please give us notice if you need to extend so we can keep the car reserved for you. Late returns may be charged at the daily rate.
Who pays for traffic fines, challans and tolls?
Any traffic challans, fines or tolls during your rental are the renter's responsibility.
Airport pickup and delivery
Do you offer airport pickup for rental cars in Pakistan?
Yes. On request, our driver brings the car to you at the airport. Airport pickup is available in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Multan and Sialkot. The charge depends on the location of the airport, and we quote it on WhatsApp.
Can you deliver the car to my hotel or house?
Yes. In every city we serve, the car is delivered anywhere in the city, including hotels and homes. In Islamabad you can also pick the car up from our office.
Which cities do you rent and deliver cars in?
We rent cars in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Multan and Sialkot, and we also deliver to other cities. Message us on WhatsApp with your location and we will confirm.
How much does delivery cost?
The delivery charge depends on the location of the airport or address. We quote it on WhatsApp once we know where you need the car.
Payment
How can I pay for my car rental in Pakistan?
We accept debit and credit cards, bank transfer and cash. Foreign currency is also accepted.
Insurance and damage
Is car rental insurance available?
Yes. Optional damage cover is charged at a flat PKR 1,000 per day on every car.
What happens if I decline insurance?
If you decline cover, you are responsible for the cost of any damage to the vehicle, and for depreciation.
How much would I pay if the car is damaged and I have insurance?
With insurance, you are responsible for damage to the vehicle up to Rs. 169,000 only. The insurance company pays the remaining amount. This applies only to clients who pay the insurance charges.
Should foreign drivers take the insurance?
We strongly recommend that overseas drivers add insurance. Without it, all damages and depreciation must be paid by the client.
Driving in Pakistan
Can I take the rental car to northern Pakistan, such as Hunza, Skardu or Swat?
Yes. There are no restrictions on taking the car north. Please tell us where you are heading when you book.
How do tolls work on the M-2 motorway?
The M-2 motorway runs on a single M-Tag, which must be topped up before you reach the toll lane. It is easier and cheaper than the cash lane. Tolls during your rental are your responsibility.

How do I book a rental car in Pakistan?
The quickest way is WhatsApp, or you can use the booking form on our website. Tell us your dates, city, where you want the car delivered (airport, hotel, home or our office) and the car you prefer. We reply in English.
